The Great Unification

In the vast cosmos of the internet, two communities shone brightly. The grand eStimStation, and the cozy Zap outpost, a shelter for the last pioneers from the fallen Skype network.

Recognizing they shared the same dream—to build the best and safest home for the hobby—the two leaders unified their communities. The pioneers were welcomed into the grand station, which was upgraded with the simple 'Core View' to honor the legacy of Zap. Today, we stand as one station, stronger and safer together.

Station Logs: A History

Key milestones and feature launches from our archives.

2021: The Genesis

March: eStimStation is founded. In its first month, it launches key features like self-assignable roles, temporary and private voice channels, and an integrated translation bot.

April: The concept of the 24/7 "Auto Driving" stimbot is born, running on MP3 files submitted by the community. Instructions are pinned explaining how to route Discord's audio output to a power box.

May: The first Ko-fi fundraiser is launched to help cover the monthly server costs for the 24/7 stimbot. DM preference roles are added to respect user privacy.

August: The original stimbot, Groovy, is shut down due to legal issues with YouTube. It is quickly replaced with the Hydra music bot to ensure uninterrupted service.

September: The server is boosted to Level 1, unlocking 128Kbps audio quality for a better signal from the stimbots and clearer voice chat.

October-December: The server is reorganized, and a simple, one-click age-verification system is added for new members. The weekly "Sunday Drive" is formalized as a recurring community event.

2022: Refinement and Growth

January: The server weathers its first major phishing bot attack and responds by adding a dedicated anti-phishing bot to protect members.

February: To improve the user experience in cam rooms, the `@VC Ping` role is created for notifications, along with an `@In-A-VC` role that appears at the top of the user list for at-a-glance visibility.

July: The popular Sunday Drive events return, and the server adopts Discord's new "Text Chat in Voice Channels" feature to improve communication during sessions.

September: After another phishing attempt, security is enhanced across the server. The stimbot's library grows to over 16 hours of content from talented creators like Marc Belgium.

2023: Overcoming Adversity

February: The server faces another external crisis as the Hydra music bots are shut down due to legal action. A new solution, LunaBot, is quickly found and implemented to keep the 24/7 signal alive, though at an increased running cost.

May: The station steps up to host and support the essential `E L E C T R O N` driving software after its previous host went down.

June: The first official website and Twitter account are launched.

July: The server's instance of the Electron software is given a permanent home at `electron.estimstation.com` and a promise is made to keep it free for everyone, forever.

November: A crucial safety policy is implemented, prohibiting content showing stimulation across the chest, based on professional consultation regarding potential health risks.

2024: Upgrades and Community Focus

May-June: A new, more cost-effective stimbot, Stimbot 3.2, is introduced by a community member and becomes the sole auto-driving bot. The mandatory "cams on" rule is officially lifted from auto-driving channels.

August: The community celebrates a major milestone: the 100th Sunday Drive event. The moderation team is expanded and officially named the "StimStation Engineers".

2025: Unification & Modernization

July: Stimbot is rewritten from scratch as v3.0, adding features like vote-to-skip and pausing when the channel is empty. Access to the extensive Porn category becomes opt-in via a "Library Card" role, cleaning up the channel list for new users. The station's instance of Electron is upgraded with major features like pause, stop, and scrubbing through sessions.

August: A historic merger with the Zap Discord server is announced, unifying two major e-stim communities. To welcome the new members, a simplified "Core View" role is introduced to prevent information overload. A new gaming-focused voice channel, "The Arcade", is also launched.
